The spring day today was stunning. And I got to cry. I have left a piece of me behind when Richard passed away. It has been a long time and a long journey to finally say it is time to let go and move on.. I have listened to friends for years saying keep going.
Perhaps you never really lose the ones you love and perhaps it is with care that you guard your heart from the tougher times. But alas, I am just ready to have a peace filled dinner with a friend.
I don't know that others get when you put everything on hold in order to move along on your journey. But they aren't making the journey I am, and they aren't doing what I need to do. So I shall continue to just enjoy the world, find peace as things lighten up and I am able to let pass the one whose life was too short by far.
I can dance again, and I am finding the voice for singing is once more coming forward. I just haven't decided what I wish to do with it.
But I have decided it is time to let the old job go as well and finally do something with my energies and talent that I believe in. Not what is easy or available.
So wish me luck and send the smoke into the sky.. that way I know where all of the other voices are and we can share.. Look for the signals.. |

So I have had positive and negatives to deal with. I don't really share them too often since doctors are just a constant part of my life for too many years. But here goes. The ankle isn't in great shape but the good news is it has improved a little making the operation on the ankle ligaments and muscle still necessary, but they won't be cutting as much as they thought.
Yet there's a new lump near my spine. So it is too the doctors once more to be checked up. The lump is a good size and is a bit painful. I am just hoping it is nothing important and I will be able to just let it be what it is. So luck and wishes to me please.. I really need a break from the doctor's offices. |

Today is World AIDS Day... December 1st.
I have lost a total of 312 people I personally have known starting with a really good friend who was to be married to his girlfriend. I was honored to be considered to stand up for that.
This horrid disease affects too many lives. Today do one thing to make the fight stronger.
I have purchased bands from the group "Until there's a Cure". I wear one every day. It simply has the word "until" on it. Whenever anyone asks, I tell them why it is important to me. I used to purchase the silver bands and put the initials of friends who have passed. But these days, I have too many bracelets reminding me of too many losses.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and I do honestly hope your own world is grand today. Please do something to make it better for someone else. |

Today was just another work day or so it appeared. My 10 pound dog was lying on the same chair he sleeps on during work when one of the office personnel came into my office to retrieve a machine. She looked at him, petted him and then told him she had a bowl with Macaroni and Cheese goop on it which he could enjoy after he ate something. Her usual conversation with him.
He got up, jumped off the chair and went to his food bowl. Grabbed a piece of food, ate it and then sat in front of her with a look of ... "ok, now it's time for that bowl".
I thought I was going to bust. I couldn't stop laughing and neither could she. She tried to hem and haw around the comment she made to him earlier and he just followed her around the office until he got the bowl.
Now I just wanted to say.. where's the people who say dogs don't understand what is being said to them when you need them??? |

So I want to know what's going on in the real world. Why is it that any pastor or individual who is 'straight' and in a position of power or knowledge of the "lord", suddenly decides to say the only reason they have been 'experimenting' with people of the same gender is as a result of.. yes.. abuse.. Must be a theme.

Wondering why there is in life a reality that constantly changes, I get up each day, review the immediate needs and expectations, delete those I don't wish to share and then begin the day. Such is the method of seeking to wander through life without becoming involved in it.
But, alas, one rarely has the ability to do just that...walking through life and simply being without the necessities of becoming. I will think on this for a bit. |

There are days you wonder what people are actually thinking and how it is they come to make some of the decisions they do. Today was indeed one of those amazing days. I received a resume from a person I shall not name via e-Mail today.
I had to print it out just to be sure someone else read the initial information on the e-Mail address, so I would not misquote, misquote or otherwise misinform the folks here of what I was reading.
The reality was it was for a position with our company, and the applicants information looked as if it would fit in with the company until I read the return information for the e-Mail.
The "name" was written as 'jigabilly butscratcher'. All I could think was, when did this person think the use of a nickname was better than the use of the actual name as an e-Mail Address.??? |
